I'm looking for some adjustable/sliding seat brackets with long travel, e.g. to ease getting into teh back of the Runner. Got a nice new racing seat and it only moves a few inches.
Ideally like 10"+, the farther the better.
Summit has several universal ones, but no listing of the travel length...

could you make them pivot forward and that work? Might be a easier solution if it would work, compared to the long travel slide.

Thinking about that... only problems I see are (1) need for a latch so it worn't pivot while going over bumps offorad, launching you outside (lol), and that the headrest will hit the steering wheel, preventit it from moving very much.
Now, if I get an anti-theft removable steering wheel....

Actually the seat belt will keep you seated just fine. Older jeeps had the tilt forward passenger seat to get to the underseat tool box. But then again if no one is in the seat it may flip, just depends on the weight of the seat.

Yea, I am thinking that the later CJs, K5 bazers, or broncos might have had the latch that could pivot and lock the seat in place.

Might also be better/easier to have the passenger seat slide/flip?

2 problems.
1 - I currently only have 1 new seat
2 - pass. seat typically has a child's seat in it, severely limiting how much moving it can do anyway. So it stays put.

I love these old Runners but the seating is just awkward. Son rides up front b/c getting him into the back and all latched in is just impractical, you need to be 7' tall and only 12" wide to reach.
