so I picked up a 93 Cherokee last week and finally getting around to looking it over real good and assessing all the “damage” that I’m gonna have to fix....aside from the short in headlight switch, fact that fuel gauge doesn’t work and the temp gauge jumps around sporadically....I also see this mumbo jumbo....

Looks factory to me. Every Jeep I've ever seen has most of those things.

My xj had a 6 gauge hot wire, not fused, running to under the back seat and not terminated...

My team replaced another team in Iraq several years ago. The battery on a hmmv is under the passenger seat. The previous team had something wired directly to the battery. Instead of taking the armored seat out (major pain, heavy) they just cut the wires and left. We had no idea. First mission we take it on it catches on fire. I can still see my teammate fling the door open and jump out holding his ass. I guess it got hot and out of control quickly. We salvage the truck and equipment, but damn.
