It is a Stevens M416 built in 1967. The big sheet metal cover appears to have protected the bed pretty good. Surface rust but all appears to be solid. Unsure of plans for this, either use as is after getting lights back operational, or paint it to match the JEEP and apply spray in bedliner inside.

with a little imagination, looks like a not so teardrop camper to be made! You can do a lot with that thing!

I see you being a big hit at the local Christmas parades! :D

I had one of these when I moved to NC. I piled 2700 pounds (I weighed it before I left) of tools, parts, and personal items in it and hauled it 750+ miles from NY behind the YJ I used to have. I had to sell it because I didn't have a place to keep it here. Wish I did't sell it it was one of the best trailers I ever had.

I suggest adding some passive drain holes to the floor in the low spots between the supports and adding some wood or composite slats to spread loads on the floor to keep it from bowing too bad under heavy loads.

If you aren't in love with the original lights you can grab a magnetic light kit from harbor freight for $10 with a coupon. Just shorten the 20' harness to fit your needs and remove the magnets for a permanent cheap solution.

Good Luck

Bob
