Looking at a trailer, what is it worth?

A friend has an 18' steel decked car hauler trailer he wants to sell. The deck is in good shape, one broken weld, and the fenders need a little reinforcement.

The back of it has a dovetail and sits fairly low. Ramps are stored below the dovetail. I have towed with it before and it will drag on occasion in rough places. If I use my 8" drop hitch it works best. It has a 2" ball. Med size aluminum tool box mounted to tongue.

It has one braking axle. The brakes used to be great, but don't grab that well now. It also needs two new tires.

I don't have much extra coin, but don't want to pass up a deal either.

So all variables considered, what is it worth?

hows the paint? I'd say $800 on the low end without seeing it.

assuming steel wheels, no spare, 5 lug and if the ramps and everything else is in decent shape.

It is 5 lug. It is the wider trailer, my junk won't fit on the more narrow. Yes clean title.

I also will receive free parking in a fenced in area with purchase!

i'd think it could be work 1200. if tires are good, brakes work, all lights work.
i got my trailer for 900 without a title. craigslist is full of expensive trailers, so i just got one without a title for half the price of a used one (but priced like new)

I might be a little concerned about the 2'' ball depending on the shank size but either way it seems a little small for a car trailer.
