Looking for a Ford 8.8 rear axle to make an axle swap with my jeep. I'm in no hurry to buy right now but if it just happened to pop up I'd love to take a look at it. I'm currently saving some funds to modify my TJ. Thinking about tube fenders, tummy tuck, new shocks, and new bumpers. Trying to get away from all of the stock basics. Any advice would be appreciated

Find an open diff 8.8 maybe I'm against the grain on this but most the limited slip ones are usually wore out. The open carrier is the weak point but i haven't broke mine yet

I agree with above. Open is the way to go. I was under the impression it is actually stronger. Also, if you choose to add a locker later you will need an open carrier. For what it's worth I had an 8.8 in my TJ with 36s and I beat the crap out of that thing with a LockRight and 4:88s. Had zero problems.

Most Pull your Part type, Scrape Yards, have plenty, you just have to pull it.
If your near any LQK yards, they have a 1/2 price day, about once a month.
"offroadin 88xj" sounds like he knows a good deal, too!
