Hey I know a lot of you tow your rides out to the trails and I am in need of some advice... FAST! :) I am looking to buy a gooseneck to tow my Jeep TJ and RZR 900s. Looking to buy a larger trailer to be able to handle a TJ and a XJ possibly down the road. I am driving up to Lexington from York SC where we live tomorrow (Saturday) to check out Kauffman Trailers. When googling the address for Kauffman trailers I saw a bunch of reviews pop up, most of them were NASTY RE: Warranty work and Quality of Workmanship/Parts.

Are these isolated issues or have others seen similar problems ? Saw that there is a Kraftman Trailer in Ramesur and Albermarle but that's owned by the brother of Kauffman's trailers, not sure if that should worry me but the reviews seem a little better... sadly closed on Saturdays.

Looking to buy now, any recomendations ? I am open to buying a slightly used trailer if it fits my needs but it needs to be in 100% shape. We will be going cross country in a couple of months and don't want something that's going to break down on me in the middle of BFE Utah.... Looking for about 28ft of deck space and sliding ramps 102" width.

Thanks!
Rich

T&W Trailers in Hudson for the win. Best bang for your buck.

Warren will make anything you want. :)

I love mine. Others on here will chime in and say the same as well.

The only complaint I have between the two Kaufman trailers I have owned were the P-metric car tires they used on them. Otherwise the quality of build has been great and they tow well. One of my buddies owned two Kaufman goose neck trailers with no complaints.

It's not a gooseneck, but My trailer is a Kaufman. It's been a good one. Though I wish the spare tire mount were somewhere else.

Kaufman is the best chance to have something in stock. Kraftsman will build anything but they are typically 3-4 weeks out.

I have a Kaufman gooseneck. I like it. They now offer an upgrade to Firestone transforce tires. That would be a no brainer over import radials.
