Looking for cheap winch cable thread

There was a thread a long time ago where someone mentioned a place in CLT to buy inexpensive wire rope. I'm thinking it was one of those industrial crane places on Graham, but I'm not sure. Anyone remember this thread? IIRC, the person that mentioned it was one of the Belmont/Mt. Holly members.

Sorry for putting this in chit-chat, but I think that's where the original thread was.
 
I trashed my winch cable in a log pulling incident. I need a replacement. 95 feet of 5/16" is what fits on my drum. I've comsidered synthetic rope, but for the four times a year I use the winch, it's hard to justify the cost.
 
I've got a brand new 100' cable from an m8000 that I'll let go for 50 if you want.

In raleigh, the place is called Carolina Chain & Cable. Try a yellow pages search for something similar out there?

Also, check the classifieds.. I coulda swore I saw some cable FS from one of the Mud Devils' members.
