I'm looking for some paint to paint my Connex. Anyone have experience painting on of these? It's a 40-footer, high cube. which is 9' tall X 8' wide, X 40' long. Gonna be sprayed.
Ho many gallons will it take? Top won't be pained as it's gonna get a lean to roof installed.
I want to paint it as it's an ugly green paint, with a lot of Arab type writing on it. I want to go with a lighter gray. oh and 2nd reason I wanna paint it is so it reflects some sun rays and not heat up so much. With doors closed in a nice sunshine with temps in the 80's, it'll get to 120* or more. I have a wall I have mounted some 3D printed holders for a few wood working DeWalt tools. with the heat, and the weight of the tools, they melted!!

If you can buy rustoleum by the 5-gallon bucket, it can be thinned and sprayed using mineral spirits. Color options are limited to those available on the shelf. Oil based, low maintenance, gloss is easier to clean. Inexpensive material cost.

I shot some bronco panels using rustoleum sail blue. Looks decent and east cleanup.

Do they have it in an oil base? Wanna do this one and done, at least for several yrs. 10ish anyway.
I think rural King has regular enamel in 5 gal buckets. I don't use oil based really anymore use dtm alkyd paint instead and Lowe's actually sells a direct to metal paint...but you're not painting bare metal, so just buy some exterior latex from Lowe's in whatever color you want and spray it.
