Looking for puppy help

rescue for sure. check with howling for spirit dog rescue.
she always has puppys. she has some terrier mix pups
right now that are beautyfull.
my last two rescues came from there. beagle-terrier mixes.
both great dogs.
remember---dont breed & buy while shelter animals die.

If you aren't in a huge hurry, you can also get a really young rescue. Which gets you out of the being older and needing to break habits.

yorkie is a no go if there is going to be rough to semi rough play with kids or another dog. they have delicate "air pipes". trach collapses are common. My fiances family has a yorkie with a collapsed trach. like mentioned above, with hotter weather the little dog cant even breath. and sleeping in the same room with him is outta the question, its like sharing a bunk bed with darth vader
 
We have a toy manchester terrier - I love her but I can't really recommend getting one. She is a bitch in every sense of the word. Doesn't like anybody except our family and barks nonstop when company comes around. We thought she would mellow out as she got older, but she will be 14 this year and if she wasn't deaf, would be exactly the same as she was 10 yrs ago. Yap Yap Yap!

Btw, I think we are stuck on the westie, going to check a westie shelter for pups, but I bet t don't have any.
 
another good breed is a boston terrier. girlfriend has one very active when you play but also calm when its time to chill. hers is by far one of the smartest dogs ive encountered.
 
brother has a boston terrier. I am more of a go my own way, plus again they are so freaking small, his terrior is like 7 lbs (looks that small) skinny legs and looks like he will break
