just bought a house in wingate and there are some things I want done. I know this is an off-road site but I'd rather give work to an off-roader. Projects would be installing a new exterior door where there is no door, installing new Granit counter tops apx 20sq ft. Using our sink. Installing new bath tub shower replacing old jacuzzi tub and putting in new floor . And things of that sort. Time frame not urgent but in the next month or so.

Call a couple places that do counter tops and get it priced out yourself. On that a contractor is gonna do the same thing then add his 10-15%

Being a GC myself, you'd be surprised at how much work is involved for a mere 10-15%. Small projects like that are even more work. Unless you are the handy and resourceful type with plenty of time on your hands, that 10-15% is more than well worth it.

I completely agree. I work for a high-end home and commercial company. That said I read it as he would be doing this piece by piece instead of all at once. If he did it all at once no brainier let a GC run with it.

Sure, if you are doing each project individually, then a call to a GC is worthless. Call a sub direct and do each project individually.

Dylan is small

I understand that a gc has an upcharge but they are also licensed ect.. now if there is a sub on here that can do the work that is fine too. I don't want a handy man that works at a call center to do the work on the side. And everything at once or one at a time doesn't matter. Depends on cost ect..
