Hey guys, just a quick question. Im trying to find out just what my limits on height are as far as the ZJ goes. I currently have 4 inches of lift and running 31x12.50's. I want to go 32's and im wondering if there is trimming going to be required. Also I have done the 1 inch transfer case drop and Im wondering if I have to run taller springs how high can i go before the slip yoke starts to play a big factor. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

going to 32's, you shouldn't have any problems with rubbing, make sure your front bumpstops are in good condition, you may have to lose the inner fender liners up front. if you choose to go higher, track bars and steering drag link angles may become an issue. also, if you go much higher, you might want to look into long arms-the short arms start to ride like crap above 4".

Ditch the t case drop it's not needed as for 32s are you running stock wheels? The offset will play a large roll in them not rubbing. If ya need a hand lmk

I have adjustable track bars front and rear and adjustable upper and lower control arms on the rear. I was just worried about going much higher and with the articulation having the drive shaft slip out. I am on stock wheels currently. Should I upgrade wheels to say a 4.5 offset or is that needed? Hopefully I can sell/trade the wheels and tires I'm currently running to help fund it.

3.5 or 3.75 is a good offset. On short arms I doubt you will out flex your drive shafts.

x2 on ditching the t case drop and getting after market wheels. For 32s you will probably need to trim the front plastic bumper a little. If you are worried about the drive shaft popping out, the the only sure way to prevent it is with a Slip Yoke Eliminator and a new drive shaft. Also, FWIW, if you also installed a drop bracket for the rear track bar, that will probably rip off eventually. Check out NAGCA or Jeep Forum, they both have a lot of good info.

Awesome. Thanks for the advice. Look forward to meeting you at Grand Slam.

You can also check out mallcrawlin.com for info but I advise not posting as its not noob friendly. I personally would skip 32s and just get 33s and trim a tad.

I would but I keep looking at the rear. It seems if I go any larger than a 32 that the tire will rub against where the rear doors are. There's not much room between that and the tire now.

stay at 4" lift and 33's.
i have a built zj 6" custom longarms, axle swaps,35's,bla.bla.bla. when you go over that 4" mark it gets tricky so take the advice these guys are giving you .
oh trash that t-case drop i still run the slip yoke but my shaft is a lot longer with no vibes even at 85mph.

If you have adjustable lowers, you can push the rear axle back a little to clear the 33s. Also remember on the stock rear suspension setup (menainf stock location of the control arms and shocks) when flexing, the rear tire moves on angle from the front to the rear (not just up and down), so you actually have more room between the rear door and the tire when the suspension flexes.

I am going to def look into purchacing some 33's then.
