Looking for Toyota Experienced Machine Shop

Hello,

I am new to this forum and new to 4x4s. I have a 87 toyota 4Runner that I have aquired and was looking to do a mild build to the existing 22re. I leave near Concord NC and was looking for an experience machine shop who does alot of Toyota work. I am wanting a long block assembly rebuild with myself doing the removal and installation of the engine and all the other misc. add ons. Please give me any information possible. Looking forward to learning alot about 4x4s.
 
There is a machine shop in Norwood called HP Engines. They know what they are doing. Check them out. His number is 704-474-0109
 
DOA is the definetly one of the best, but any decent machine shop that has been around for a while knows just about everything there is to know about a 22RE, i mean its been around for 30 some odd years, If your looking for a performance biuld DOA. If you rlooking for a rebuild, find a good machine shop, and then find a good assembler, i have always believed that seperating the machine shop from the assembly is a good idea. Also engbldr.com has some good affordable cams. for a mild build.

I would call alex at carolina truggies he has some great toyota expierence and could assemble it for you, and i am sure he knows a good machine shop in the area. i would do it for you but i am a bit far.
