Hey guys I am totally new to the offroad/4x4 scene. One of my buddies is selling his Suzuki Samurai and I am thinking about buying it. I am not sure of the year or engine size. I know..... I know I should have had this info before I posted for you guys to help but I can get that info if needed. Anyways, I know its a stock 4cyl and 5 speed. Stock wheels and tires. Its something he just used around his farm to play with.
I'm not looking to make this thing into a massive rock crawler(at this time:driver:). Just wanting to add a better suspention setup and also larger wheels and tires. It runs and drives nice in the trails but the suspention is just a little firm for my taste. What kind of money can I expect to be putting into this thing to get what I am looking for? Again, nothing off the wall, just wanting a taller stance, larger wheels and tires and a little softer ride( it rides like a log waggon right now!!).
Thanks for your time.

To answer your question, yes a Samurai is a good choice to get into wheeling. Just make sure the frame isn't got too much rust or damage. The options are endless for what you can do with a Samurai. Do a lot of research and choose wisely. Good luck.

trail gear makes some sammi stuff. about 300 for all four springs.
