Lots of interesting news today

Still a tint law

A friend that runs a tint shop said it's just going to increase revenue after all for the .gov. People will get a false sense of its now "lega:l, then just more cops are going to write tint tickets.
I've never looked into it. But I was told commercial work vehicles are exempt for the tint law. Maybe due to theft of tools.....🤷‍♂️

It’s a racket and a nuisance. It does not guarantee those items will be working the next 364 days.
There are 13 states that do not require it, including South Carolina. But all those people are still allowed to drive their un-inspected vehicle in NC.

IF NC made it optional, would you still pay $30 and go thru the hassle every year with all of your vehicles?
Look at how much higher car insurance rates are in SC. That may not be the same now, but it was when I lived there moons ago. They doubled from NC.

I’m not sure how much a vehicle inspection plays into that. Maybe it’s in the formula, but certainly the fact that NC requires a higher amount of minimum insurance seems likely to be a major influencer. But I’m not an insurance professional.

This is a step in the right direction, but we need to completely eliminate annual vehicle inspections.

What kind of psychopath walks around with a 20lb chain around his neck?

What kind of dumb ass radiology tech doesn't check folks entering the room for magnetic material?

I guess they must have forgotten to post the big ass signs all over the double door entrance that say shit like "don't wear metal in this room". IDK, those signs are always present in the entry areas of the MRI rooms I've been to.

Clearly its the fire trucks, not the concrete pumper. Guy already has enough problems, don't blame him for blocking the road too!

VFD ... they gotta impress everybody!
Got stop by a local VFD of old hwy 311 once for an accident NEAR am intersection.
It was 50 yards from the actual intersection, but they had it blocked all 4 ways.
Nice flat shoulder ... when the light turned, the guy in front flipped off the guy directing traffic and went around the truck on the shoulder .... the whole line followed him.

police and fire block lanes for the fun of it.
jackasses
Tell me you've never had to fight fire on an active interstate....

You're welcome to join and come stand out there with us.

if i had meant 'always' i would have stated 'always'
\
everyone that has ever driven and paid attention has seen cops block too many lanes for a small incident.

cause they don't care about the 10 mile backup.
No they don’t. They care about the safety of the scene and those involved keeping them as safe as possible from all the asshat, impatient fuckwads trying to get past the situation and the risk of a follow on incident due to their ignorance.
