Got a record Power Ball lottery win coming up. Wondering how many had a lottery pool at work. It's a cruel but up-front question to ask if you've also got some sort of a "lottery pool agreement" in place? Not just a "I'll kick your ass if" word thing but an official written note?

Money's the root of all evil.:kaioken:

Actually, LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Remember money is just paper that we say is worth something. An inanimate object. That being said, we don't do an office pool. I bought some tickets and if I win I'm going to each one of the techs in the shop a cool million. Mostly I want to see everyone take the day off and shut the place down, (see if the owner likes that?) Even the service manager said he'd do the same thing if he wins. No written agreement here.

I talked it over with my co workers would share with me and both of me agree, screw it I am keeping it.

We have a pool of about 15 of us, which is all but 2 of our department. We buy one number for the year in each lottery. We don't have anything in writing.

Tonya works for John Deere and several of them are in a pool. The same person buys the tickets each week and she made them sign a written agreement saying whatever was won would be split between the ones in the pool.NOW,I dont know how binding that would be if they won big and somebody got greedy.

We are doing it at work (about 10 of us). No written agreement, but everyone gets a copy of all the tickets before the drawing. There was a lawsuit last year where there organizer of a lottery pool tried to keep all of the winnings for himself and the other people in the pool sued him. IIRC, they didn't have a written agreement but he still lost and had to distribute the money plus pay their court costs.

If someone won they could spend 100k fighting any written agreement with the best lawyers money could buy
Maybe so but its more than most have and waaay better than a hand shake or somebodies word.
