if you have to just pull the diff cover, drill a hole.....go get a threaded plug from an auto parts store........and insert into new hole............what kind of front end do you have?
and that is why i asked what kind of front end he had....at least i didnt respnd with a smartsas answer like some people,m i tried to help
yea been doin a little muddin. Think thats over with. Thanks for the advice. Will add oil and see what happens. How hard are the bearings to replace?remove front splash pan, on the drivers side of the front diff the fill plug is too the front of the case.
DO NOT use power tools to remove and install plug, make sure it threads in before you put a tool on it when you install, it is an ODD thread and tought to find a tap and plug for, don't fawk it up.
As for your humming, could be unit bearings ( wheel bearings) on either or both sides, if you've been playing in the mud, more than likely the bearings are shot. S trucks don't like mud, you'll find that out soon enough
hondas are the easiest cars to work on in the world. I can swap a engine in a few hours. and its taken me 3 days to swap my CV's on my S10!more power to ya brother....i dont think i could work on a honda if i tried haha, yea i prolly could....but it might not go back together right.......i would just make a hole, fill it....and put a plug in it.....thats about the best advice i can give you......
