I have a 4o series flowmaster. Sounds good to me. There may be better louder out there...I dont know.

yea im pretty sure those are illegal to have and will not pass inspection....not to mention people need to keep there exhaust running with a cat because it doesnt hurt your performance that bad and it helps the air stay clean so my girlfriend with asthma will be able to breath in 10 years

An Xj with an otherwise stock engine isn't a performance machine.. why do you want to put up with the drone, the noise, and not being able to hear what your spotter is telling you?

mine's not really that loud...at all, actually. it definitely doesn't sound like a stock exhaust...it's perfect for what I like. not too loud and deep, but not stock either.

It is funny when I was young I wanted everything loud, and loved glasspacks and cherry bombs, looking back I never had anything with power.
Now that I am older and have a few toys that do have power, I now like the quiet stealth approach.
 
I currently have a Flowmaster 50 on my Cherokee, isnt a stock sound, but definatly isnt loud. The end pipe rusted through awhile back and i drove around without that for a good bit, sounded a lot louder, although vibrated the entire inside.

I too am wondering about the Flowmaster 10 series on a cherokee, i have some sitting here from a truck im parting out and was considering it. I have found a few videos with sound, but nothing to do justice, any opinions?

the 10-series will resonate way more than the 50-series.. since you already have one try it.
