Low oil causes

What would cause my truck to have low oil?

I did go a little long on the oil change prob 4K
I am using Shell Rotella 15w-40

I don't have any visable leaks. Parked on concrete with a very perceptive wife.

I don't have any odors or visable oil burning signs.

Truck:
1998 Chevy Silverado 5.7L K1500

If it ain't leaking it, it's burning it. The cat's are probably cleaning it up. Check to see if it blows a blue cloud when you first start it up in the morning. Could be valve stem seals.

Thats true!!! I do exhaust work for a living we cats all the time that are stopped with oil.
