You'd ride slow too if your nuts were this close to the road.......
Saw this in the Thomasville area yesterday.

I dunno, seems like the least bit of lean and the exhaust would be dragging the pavement.

I saw 2 very very similar to that at Myrtle Beach last weekend. got some pics somewhere. I think they're on my phone. they were definitely interesting, and super interesting to watch going down the road.

I just cant understand the whole rat rod thing. I guess "in this economy" people cant afford to build anything nice.

air ride?
Must be something like that...in the second pic you can see the frame is on the ground cause there is no shadow underneath like the exhaust.

Tha "rat rod thing" is definitely love it or hate it. There's very little indifference towards it. It's a look, but it's more of a genre. It's less about the money spent than the time put in. I've seen some rat rod builds that were WAY more coin than some cherry hot rods. I've also seen some rat rods that look like someone took an afternoon and a blow torch to build.

Personally, I love rat rods if they are done well like this one. I've seen some guys take perfectly good paint jobs on ricer cars and scratch them up and put primer on just to get that "worn" look. To me, that's just crap. That's not building a car, that's defacing one.

oh wow, I just went through the pic I took of the two I mentioned earlier down at Myrtle Beach and this one was one of the two in the pic.

That is awesome.

Yea, look on the front end, you can see the air shock with an air line running to it from the little tank behind the front wheel. Can't see the one on the swingarm, I assume its on the other side.

Yes it was air ride. Pull up and let air out and bike sits on frame rails. Ready to leave, open some valve and bike lifts back up.
If you look closely you'll see a spark plug at tail end of exhaust. Dump fuel in exhaust and you have instant flame.
