lower pitman arm

ok 97 xj what stock pitman arm will be about 2 inch lower then the one on it?

know the V8 ZJ pitman arms will give you around a inch drop, why do you need so much? I have the rusty's 1 1/4 in drop on my xj with around 6 inchs lift and its fine, no bumb steer

well i am having problems keeping greese in the tierod and was thinking that its because of my lift. i only have 3in but figured it wouldnt hurt.

the tie rod end that attaches to the pitman arm wont hold greese?

at the botom of the piman arm the tie rod that conects the steering has a boot with a greese fitting. my old one the boot broke and i have put 5 on the last being a moeg and the boot keeps seperating at the base and the greese comes out. i was thinking jthat maybe the angle was afecting the seel

I know i have ruined one by putting too much greese in one. i'd say with only 3 inches of lift you would be fine by running a ZJ pittman arm, and it be on the cheap

Skip the crappy OE rubber boots that come with new joints... a 2-pack of poly boots are cheaper & will last MUCH longer. Coupled with your maintenance, you should get some decent longevity...

yes, I know at AutoZone you can get both the rubber OEM-style in the HELP cards, and also Energy Suspension polyurethane replacement boots
