a cust of mine has a 64 buick that has a 04 camaro LS1 and 6 speed. i am left with reparing fuel system problems created by the installer, i was just wanting to see what some of the LS buggy/jeep owners were using as in fuel pumps and regulators to feed them. i normally use aeromotive pumps and regulators but i feel that may be a little overkill on this car. so post what you are running and part numbers if possible.

the best way is to fab an accumulator. Use a LPHV pump to fill the accumulator, then use the HP pump to pull from the accumulator. I did this right to start with and have had zero issues. I basically copied what Pistol Pete posted on Pirate as to what type of plumbing setup he uses on his trophy truck. But, I just sized everything for the 6.0 motor.

I have a Holley Blue with the regulator to fill the accumulator then the 8248 (I think thats it, not the E2000) pulling from the accumulator to the corvette filter/regulator, then to the engine. I also have a pretty standard 3/8" inline filter before the Holley Blue.

Prob. not. But, I def. didn't want to be one of those guys complaining about burning up e8248 pumps every trip out :D

all that stuff is to keep the pumps alive since the e2000 and e8248 don't like to be run dry. If I knew it was going to be on its lid, I'd tell ya to put the snowmobile fuel pickups in the tank :)

i used to work at a place called Lethal Performance. we specialized in high performance Camaros, Chevelle, drag cars/trucks, old school muscle cars, ect.

my manager had a 35th anv. Camaro with 402 stroker, patriot head an cam package, forged pistons, stage 7 pro charger with methanol injection, the works. when we got the motor together we had to upgrade the fuel systems, we went with a full aeromotive set up with a new fuel cell. it made a little extra noise, but the difference it made showed up on the dyno!
im not saying get a fuel cell and all that, but i believe in the Aeromotive fuel pump set up. the cars still runs great today putting out 742 rwhp!

im sorry, that was a lot of BS just to say id go with Aeromotive...lol
