I'm buying some lumber from a friend. It is 2x10x15.5'. I'm trying to figure out if it's treated. It came out of an office building and was used as floor joist in a 16x60' room. He cut it at the sills and removed any nails. It is heavy-ish but doesn't have that tell tale green color. It's high quality very straight lumber and is more of a light brown. I am getting 32 of them for 300.00. Lowes in Morganton wants $30 each and are out of stock. Anyway is there any way to make sure it's treated other than a chemical test?
Thanks for any insight.

Post a pic in the random pic thread and say you got a good deal on treated lumber. People will come out of the woodwork to explain why its not :D
