I have an Aussie locker up front in my hp d30 and I love it. I've never ran one in the rear but I've heard people say its not a good idea for a dd. Is it really that big of a deal? I'm more of a performance driven kind of guy and I'm not too worried about ride quality as long as it does what I have built it to do. Just looking for some input from people who have more experience on the topic than me.

I have lockrite's in both my D30 and 8.8 in a daily driven XJ on 35's. Never noticed the rear, only the front on tight turns. You'll never know it's back there.

I have a Detroit in the rear of my K30 and I drive it a lot and tow with it. I only notice it when it unlocks with a load, but since I know what it is, I don't worry about it any more. I know what you're thinking, but it's in a 14 bolt, so it's a lunchbox locker :D

I have a spartin in the rear of my dodge i love it 75% time i never notice it........unless towing or loaded making a tight turn then it makes one hell of a pop.

I had lockrights in both of my last rigs that spent a ton of pavement time. You will notice it is there especially when you make tight turns. I now have a full spool in my truck. It is my only truck, so it is used all the time to go to Lowes, the dump, pulling my lawnmower trailer. I like the spool so much better since it never unlocks or ratchets in turns.

Thanks for the input. I'm pretty sure my next purchase is going to be an Aussie for the rear
