We have been known as the assholes of the salvage yard business, But the reason We don't let many people on the yard is BC of people tearing stuff up Every thing is in inventory like Walmart. But if you call and talk to Charlie and tell him Brian told you to call he will treat you different. They think that unless 1 of them knows you they don't trust you. It's kind of like all of us trail rider's getting a bad name BC of teenagers trespassing and people trowing beer cans in the woods.. And also we are better now BC Frankie is gone!!!

Over the years I bought a lot of stuff from Marsh at the truck yard. About 3 years ago was my *last* trip there.

They've burned a lot of bridges.

Wish things were different.

I had a great experience with Marsh...in 1994. I had heard thru the grapevine they got rid of all their Jeeps, and other things happened (turned into "the assholes of the salvage yard business" I guess), and that it wouldnt be worth my trip. Now that the internet is around, its a lot easier to find Jeep parts.
Good luck to Marsh Auto Parts, restablishing yourselves, you had a great reputation many years ago, I hated to hear the bad things.

3 acres Is still jeeps but only 2 CJ's A butt load of YJ's and TJ,s ZJ's,WJ's and XJ"S so we still got jeeps just not old full size jeeps...

Yeah yall have alot of stuff just sometimes its a little pricey$$$ if I can't get it for less than half of a new piece then I'm just buying new, but I do have to say the last time I was down there and bout a bunch of parts for the jeep I was surprised at how cheap they gave it to me so I guess yall are getting better than 4-5 years ago, which is a good thing.

Marsh used to be my go to yard but after I had a couple bad experiences I started looking else where. I need a pair of dakota rear spring for my stretch so maybe I will give them another try.

Call us up and talk to Charlie. He is pretty good to deal with. The one individual that some of you may have dealt with in the past and had a bad experience with is no longer there.

Hey lugnut, what year springs are you looking for?

Always been assholes to me to. Before i found this site had to buy from marsh. Bought a drive shaft for a 00 tj few years back, they told me to bring $100, they had one. All i had to spend was $100 i had no extra. They about sent me packing back to Winston Salem cause of sales tax. I had to pitch a fit. But i got it for 100 flat. My opinion, Thats bad Business. Most salvage yards will dicker on the price. Not Marsh

I guess some people are just RETARDS, if you go to Walmart dont they charge you tax on everything you buy? Well next time use your brains and remember there is tax welcome to America idiots!!!

You really shouldn't be the spokesman if they are trying to get anybody back for business. The attitude you just showed in the above quote will not bring very many customers back.

Congratulations, any chance you had at redeeming your business in the eyes of the members of this site, you just lost. Sperd and Fordwheelinman can only do so much to improve your reputation if you speak like this to your potential customers.

Seriously? Coming on here and replying like this calling people retards, idiots, and crybabies isn't exactly going to help your reputation of being assholes and convince people you are nice guys...

well if people want to buy our parts then they can, if they want to order our jeep parts from other salvage yards thats fine to either way we still sale our jeep parts everyday! Thanks for all or your business through the years and hopefully yal will give our company another chance

Sperd, buddy is looking for 2 pairs of stock XJ leaf's, PM me a price.

i dont know what you people are talking about. i broke a yukon axle in my TJ and needed a stocker to get me by. i dont get off work early enough to be there before they close. they were willing to drive back up there AFTER THEY GOT OFF WORK to meet me so i could pick up an axle and play in the snow that was forcasted the next day. i ended up leaving work early that day but to me that says alot. not many places would even offer that. and bitching about sales tax? its a business, not a yard sale

What salvage yard isn't full of assholes??? I've come to expect that when hunting used parts...

I have to agree with this, back in the day the salvage yards were mainly the owner and a son or two helping him run it. The service was a lot better because everyone involved had a stack in making sure the business survives.

No a days going into a salvage yard is like going to Walmart you have a bunch of pissed off under paid employees who could careless.

This is why I use Car-parts.com it limits the amount of time I have to spend talking to someone trying to find out if they have the part and how much it cost.

Last week at the shop the lead tech snapped the pinion bolt and slide pin. I drove out to GAPCO to get a replacement. Great people, kinda funny sign in sheet, $1 admission and they didn't charge me for the new bolt/slide pin. On the way back to the shop I stopped at Triad Auto Parts for a few more things, they pull them for you, great prices there as well.

I have always had good luck with GAPCO, Triad on the other hand is hit or miss. I went there the other day because I knew they had a TJ and I wanted the plastic door frames so I can put a soft top on my Jeep. The person helping me didn't have a clue what i was talking about however once I finally got him to understand what I needed he did give me a decent price, $100 for the pair.

He sent me out in the yard with his mechanic to make sure I got what I needed while I was out there I notice the jeep had the dash vent I was missing. I had the mechanic pull it and took it back in and had the same guy add it to my invoice. When I went to pay the bill it was $125. I looked over at the guy and asked him if he was seriously going to charge $25 dollars for a 2"x4" plastic vent. He lowered the price to $105.

I've had a bad taste in my mouth about Marsh for a while after asking about some jeep parts and having been hung up on more than once. Oh, and also wanting $800 for a 14 bolt

Hope things are better....
