Master or not so master welders

Anyone know any local welders who would want to build me something simple like this for a CJ7? I am after a 2 inch receiver, and tire carrier in the future, but can't see spending 200 on a hitch, when I could pull this off for cheaper, and look much better.

You could probably buy something similar cheaper & bolt it on than you could pay a custom fabricator to build it.

I guess I am looking more for a guy who is good with a welder and tape measure, over a "custom fabricator". Thinking more Iron Station, and less Mooresville....

I will search a round on the interwebs, just love giving money to a local than a internet site.

$200 won't buy you much when it comes to having something built. This would not be built for that kinda money. Material, not much there, but in time, quite a bit

I agree with Chip, lot of measure/trial/& error/ work. Would only want to do that for myself, + I not that pretty at welding. I like the Urban Rock bumper, & price is really affordable. Having jigs,
& mass production, lowers cost.

You could buy a welder and learn, thats what I did and built my own for my CJ7

Contact BESRK on Jeepforum. He is in Virginia and builds some nice bumpers out of his garage. Check out his thread. He helped me out a lot with parts and advice when I built mine.
