Anyone have any experience with both the Irok TSL radial and the Maxxis Creepy Crawler? Interested in noise/wear on pavement and performance on rocks.

He is asking about the IROK radials.......

He is looking at the 36x13.50s or 37x12.50s........

Andy

No need for any further discussion, I've already decided to go with the SSR series radial. Thanks fellas.

I thought you wanted performance on rocks?

here's a good read:

The Maxxis work great on the rocks...several guys I wheel with run them, but they're all trailer queens...

You'll regret the SSR's the moment you leave the pavement...

the Iroks aren't that much louder than any TSL, SSR, M/T, etc that you'll find...

the Irok Radial is a great trail tire, that does sufficient on the road...

I'd buy 'em again in a heartbeat for a dual purpose rig...for a trail-only rig, I'd buy the same size in a bias-ply...

Yep, like I said. IROK radials.

Already ordered. Thanks again Andy. I'll be getting back with you on some rims. And thank you other fellas for the feedback as well.

might as well do it right and get some Staun internal double beadlocks while you're at it...

the new design is awesome...

:D

I definately considered that. Andy and I discussed it and since I'm a medium core wheeler, perhaps 8-10 pound psi, I may try them without the beadlocks. If I ever lose a bead I'll slap a set in.

if you're not going with the Stauns...

I'd definitely opt for 15x8 rims, not 15x10 (as most stores will recommend for 36x13.50)...I've run that setup for 2-1/2 years...

Greg

Yes, I was planning on going 15x8 without Stauns. But assuming you had the Stauns in both wheels, would there be a significant advantage between 15x8.5 vs 15x10?

not really...

on the road, it would hold more pressure and get even wear (with the 15x10)...

with the 15x8, you'd need to drop the pressure just a bit to get an even contact patch...

I really like my irok radials so far. Definitely can't complain here.
