I bought a 87 mazda b2000 that was not drive able because the clutch pedal would not come off the floor. I put a master cyl and a slave cyl in it today and the pedal works as it should now but when I try to put it in gear it grinds wont go in any gear. I made sure all air is out of the system have blead it over and over but still not working. Just wanted to see if anyone has had this problem and were to go next.

thanks
Brandon

clutch could be seized to the pressure plate. Will it go into gear while it is not running?

grandlift had this happen to his sammi

It will go in all gears when it is not running and will start when in gear and pulls fine just cant change the gears

can you see the slave moving the clutch fork?

my guess would be that the clutch is rusted up too... put it in gear, push in the clutch, hold the brakes, crank the truck... sometimes that can get the disc to free itself from the pressure plate.

sounds like you did bout every thing. also to extend on what paradicepwoffrd was saying, hold the brake and parking brake real good and drop the clutch while its idling in first gear, that should make it come loose. if it dont work, be sure to check your line running from the master cylinder to the slave cyl., one could be cracked causing it to not have enough pressure to move the fork far enough to disengage.

if none of that dont work, you may just have to go ahead and drop the tranny and check the fork for warpage, tob wear, and clutch assembly.
