Mc2150 whistle

I rebuilt a 2150 for my jeep. It runs great, but there's an annoying ass high pitched whistle at idle.

Anyone ever have a whistle from their carb? Did you figure out why it was?

Sounds like a vacuum leak.

Throttle shaft may have vertical play causing a vacuum leak between the shaft and the carb body. Spray a little carb cleaner around it and see if it quietens downs.

Ya, that's one reason I swapped to this carb. It has a nice tight throttle shaft.
