Hope everyone is looking forward to 2019 cause it's coming whether you want it to or not. I personally think it's going to be a good one. Just a feeling.

I can't remember my resolution from last year but did any of you fatties lose weight?

Here is last year's thread:
New Year's Resolutions

My main goal for 2019 is to finish building my Jeep. As of now, I give it a 30% chance of being completed. I need to fire the project manager and engineer. Both of them are causing delays with their arguing over budget, time, and scope creep of the project.

A coworker of mine died this past year just before Thanksgiving. It affected me more than I expected. I guess 16.5 years of working together will do that. He was a really nice guy who always had a good attitude, and would help everyone. My new years resolution is to try and be more like he was.

I feel like this upcoming year will give me my best shot to get projects around the house and in the shop done... or at least a healthy bite taken out of them. I started my new job last year in November. So right now I'm a little over a year in and I'm being told that I'm going places. Whether that's true or not remains to be seen but I got a raise after 3 months last year and my end of year review was better than last year's. Right now in my current position I get more time off than I used to so I need to start making hay while the un is shining. If I move up, that extra free time evaporates. So that's my goal for this year. Get off my ass and get to work on my projects.

This was my post last year.

I had back surgery in 2016, so once I had healed enough in 2017 to start working out, my goal was to be in the best shape of my adult life by the time I turn 40. Then I herniated the same disc again, and had the same surgery again. Now I’m less than a month from turning 40,and know I can’t make that goal.
So my new goal is to be in the best shape of my adult life before I turn 41.
I still have a couple more months of healing before I can get serious. At that point, I’ll make some measurable goals.

Since then, I herniated the same disc a 3rd time in March and had fusion surgery in May 2018.

Even though I had that huge setback, I got back to working out with F3 at the end of October. I did 5,200 pushups in the month of December and ran 55 miles in the month of December. I just did The Murph workout this morning for the first time and completed it (google it you don’t know what it is). I’ll get 2019 started off right by running with the F3 guys again in the morning.

I had not done that many pushups in my entire life. I’m running farther and at a faster pace than ever before, but I’m still not a runner. Now I’m less than a month from turning 41, and I believe I met my 2018 goal of being in the best shape of my adult life by the time I’m 41.

If you don’t want to be the 90% that fail in @drkelly ’s pic, checkout f3nation.com and find an F3 group near you. It’s free, it’s peer led, it’s open to all men, it meets outdoors rain or shine, and they leave no man behind. I would not have been able to do this on my own.
