Metal Building Spray Foam??

There seems to be an irrational fear of the combustibility of spray foam. When I was modifying my sliding door, I used a cut off wheel directly up against it without issue, and then actually welded within an eighth inch of it and it turned black, but never caught on fire. Sure when it’s new and being sprayed, it’s probably flammable, and the first day or whatever it’s probably combustible, but it’s not sitting there just waiting to blow up like people make it out to be.

Anybody ever researched some old chicken house foam boards? Usually pretty darn cheap on the FBMP when the messiCANS are tearing down old chicken or turkey houses… just not sure about the smell??
I’ve looked at that also, the smell definitely concerns me. But also you need an air gap behind them and they are pretty labor to install. Have to cut each one and piece together. And the ceiling has to be sheeted with something or they will fall over time. One of the main pluses to me with spray foam is just painting the ceiling and saving the money to sheet it.
