Does anyone have any good connections for metal carports for the Concord-Kannapolis or Salisbury area? I could be in the market for up to three of them at one time... two singles and a double.

I think hot dog guy has a nice one, have you asked him?

Sent using Tapatalk while driving, eating, and reading the newspaper..

Hey Rich... didn't know he had one... maybe he will see this and chime in.

you wanting to put them up yourself or have them put up?

I hadn't give any thought to putting one up myself, but I wouldn't think it to be too difficult. What are you thinking?

Terry's came out of mt airy. Not the cheapest but one of the nicest. His is big enough to park the coach under....

Thanks Snappy... I'm not looking for anything that big. I've got a homemade wooden one down behind the house that I parked old Granny under. With Granny2 having a soft top I need to close the back side (south) and west end to keep the sun off. I'm just tossing the idea of putting the cash it would cost to do that toward a single carport which would also look better. I have the same situation out front where we park Darlene's car. A third one would be a double to serve as a pavillion for a couple picnic tables for friend & family gatherings.

His is just taller, I am in the market for 1 or 2 myself. Maybe we need a group buy? I have a tax id..... I might have to make some calls tomorrow.....

auto corrected against my will...

I been looking for one myself!!

I only have good things to say about Carolina Carports. They did a great job on the building. It's just a big carport closed in.

carolina carports, tnt carports, or eagle carports.....all three are based out of mt airy and have different gauge metals to suite your budget. They setup and deliver all over the us. They manufacter everything in house to keep costs down.

Don, I went to Mt.Airy and talked to all three, they come out of one factory. I bought factory direct with cash, not check but cash. I had them to build me a "Certified" carport. This means that the plans fall under NC building codes with a 25 year warranty. This cost $400.oo extra. Mine is 45ft long and 15ft.inside clearance. 12 ft wide is the same price as 18ft wide! Mine is 18ft. wide. Two guys came out and built the thing in one day for $300.oo labor! You are stupid not to let them erect it. mine came to a total of $3,200.

If they don't have to cut the roof panels you save money.

If they don't have to cut the rafters you save money

if they don't have to cut the uprights you save money

$3200 include the $300 labor and $400 Certified/warranty fees too? Doesn't sound too bad for that size installed.

I'll look into that... in fact , I believe that's where my 20' x 28' came from... need to hunt... don't have a clue which tax record box the receipts are in. Appreciate the info! :)

When I was researching the CTB shelter I looked into self installation. They would only cut $50 off of the $695 price of an 18x20 for self install. They sub those installs out so cheap it isn't worth it to try and install yourself, IMO. All the install crews I have had experience with will "work with you" meaning they will do whatever you want done for a little side cash. I have my personal shelter from Carolina Carports, CTB I went through elephantstructures.com a subsidiary of carports.com.

Just thought I would post this up since a lot are looking for one.... (this is not mine, just seen it while thumbing thru CL)
