Did anyone ever prove the whole child molestation thing? I kinda stopped following it because the news reporters were doing the whole hype it up for money thing where no actual news was coming out.

No. Acquitted on all charges. No real vidence of anything.
Plus the accusers were shown to be flat out liars about the whole thing.
But by then, damage was done, public perception already set.

IMO, he was a kid who became famous and rich too fast, and never grew up, never had a "normal" life to appreciate where the typical social boundaries for things are and how things should/should not be done.
That coupled with his skin condition really screwed his public image.
 
He was found guilty in a civil court but not criminal court. Just like oj except hes not black.
Oh wait he is black. Or was at one point.

no, in '93 he settled before it actually went to trial.
he basically just wanted it to go away and prevent the media circus, unfortunately that backfired and it made him look guilty.

The only civil suit he lost was about money, in '05, had nothing to do with the previous charges.
Meanwhile - dude is now admitting he lied about the whole thing in '93.

B/c, sadly, if you look over the last 20 years of his career, that was what really pushed things to rapidly going downhill for him.
