microSD card

trying to get pics from my phone to computer, so I bought a SanDisk microSD card with SD adapter. I can get my computer to see 3 other SD cards, but it is not recognizing this microSD card. When I put the SD adapter in my camera it says "memory card error! card locked". I didnt know these things locked, but found the sliding lock tab. My 3 SD cards slide and click at each position (locked/unlocked)...this SD adapter slides freely, doesnt really click in any position. The slider was in the unlocked position originally, but I don't think it was connected to anything inside the card/adapter. Ya think this adapter is just defective? It shouldnt be this hard

What Kind of phone do you have? Did your phone "format" the micro SD? If so, that may be the problem.

I have a Droid X, I can transfer photos with the cord to my lap top. If I plug in my micro and try to open the pics straight from the card, my lap top doesn't recognise the file format. For some reason it will transfer but not open direct.:shaking:

If I use the card that is in my camers it recognises the photos in JPEG format.

I'm not real sure bu I think Verison screws with their file formats.

get a bluetooth adapter and transfer them that way. I did this with my older phone that didn't have an SD card in it.

must be a Verizon formatting deal. I was finally successful when I connected the phone w/microSD card to the USB port, it drag/dropped just like a flash drive. It would not do that yesterday when I didnt have the microSD card. Fawking POS SD/microSD adapter just confused the issue.

I bet you a dollar there's a little yellow switch on the side of the sd adapter that is flipped push it in opposite direction

I'll PM you my email addy, you can paypal me that dollar :flipoff2:
That little switch broke off, I was sure that was the issue, but I guess not.

Yep, Verizon pisses me off. My daughter has a AT&T DROID, she can stick her micro sd in the lap top and it works just fine. If it wasn't for Verizon coverage I would swap.... oh well
