I have a microwave, less than 9 mo old, quit working. Paid about $90 new at Wally-World. Is it worth fixing? Where do I get it fixed localy? Already tried the warenty route, didn't work.

I'd say you're sol. I don't know any microwave repair men.......and I'd say they make about 90 bucks an hour

Might not be that bad to fix yourself. There's some dangerous voltage in a microwave, but if you're careful and can read a schematic, you might be able to knock it out. The schematics are typically in an envelope taped somewhere inside the microwave case. You may need some security bits to get it open. Often it's just a fuse or bulb bad. Yes, a bad bulb can take out a microwave.

Chuck it, we live in a disposable society. Go buy a $400 microwave so that way when it tears up, you can justify spending the $$ to have someone work on it...

Seriously, the only thing I have ever done on a microwave is open it up and check the fuse. And about 50% of the time, the fuse was actually blown. Usually from someone nuking something with metal in it.

$5 says it's under warranty.

Go buy a new one you frugal fawker!:flipoff2:

Go buy the same one and clean up your old one and shove that pos in the box and get your money back. Done that a couple of times. Piss on um!

I've had the same $30 microwave oven from walmart for the past 6 years. Never had a problem with it. More money doesnt always mean "better quality".

dude my mother has had the same sears microwave for 24 yrs, and it still works. guess they don't make things like they use to.

reminds me of the Rodney Carrington Skit.
"These Diapers Already got Shit in 'em"
"We're real sorry about that, go on back and get you some more"

my thought exactly
man i loved that disc! rodney is a funny man indeed.
