i just bought a new pe8000 winch. the next day it dose not work..and yes it did work when i put it on.. it was like the morning dew missed it all up.. has anyone else had this problems?

I had a controller problem on mine. Called 4wheel parts & they sent me a new one under the manufactures warrenty. dew shouldn't hurt it call the folks you brought it from & tell them you want it fixed or another one.

check solenoids. i had a bad one a week after i bought it. i do electrical, so easy for me to find. what was hard was getting 4 wheel parts to warranty it. one year warranty? lifetime warranty i had bought on it(10% purchase price)?" no problem. just send it back(my $67 cost). oh, and thats your warranty. if you want, you can buy another warranty to cover it if you ever have another problem". im not lying, thats the deal. long story short, i got the number off a harbor freight winch box(chicago elect) and ordered my own solenoid. YES, im saying they are the same winch. model and serial cross macth on both. only difference is that harbor freight is a lot cheaper. wish i new all that before. if anyones reading this and consider buying a winch, spend the money and get one that will be there when you need it the most. first thing i did when i bought my warn was compare solenoids to the MM. wow what a differance in quality! did i mention to check your solenoids? if you need help, get a hvac or eleronics guy to help. youll need a multi meter. hope this helps

ive had mine for about 2 years and it still works as good as it did when i got it.. no probs. I do keep a cover on it though
