Original motor, never rebuilt either. It's a 2.5L four banger.

Nice I am a fellow 2.5L also, Hope mine last that long. I am around 110K but its mostly trail now, so I have allot of wheeling to do.

very cool, I put 237k on my 89 XJ before selling it, motor ran like a top though, so Im sure its out there somewhere running hard still.

If I pull the spark plugs, they only have a little brown haze on the insulation at the electrode. One small oil leak. But, it needs a new TPS, MAP sensor, and MAT sensor according to the codes.

I've only had it for a little over 4 years. Dealer logo on back says it came from Utah.

since this is so interesting, maybe we should make a "high milage" thread, see what kind vehicles/rigs have tons of miles on the original motor. my 240sx would surprise some folks!

250k in a 2.5L... First time ive seen that. Ive seen 4.0 with 200k on a regular occasion. Oh yeah because im driving one. Im almost to 230k. I will try to get a pic as well.

Lol the old s10 (Family beater) 4.3 automatic had 335k miles original, lots of problems, wouldn't crank when it was warm, but if it was cold, sat for a year, would crank right up. Wouldn't die.
