Military 36s on the highway?

I can get some military 36s really cheap. My 99 Burb is needing some new tires, so I figured what the hell. I plan on a 2-3" body lift and a 2" t-bar tweak which will fit 36s.

Pretty much 90% of the driving I do in the truck is on the road, but we plan on some beach driving coming up soon.

How do these tires do on the road? I just want something that has decent road traction and won't wear out too fast.

I'll probably run some recentered H1s on them.

I had these on my 96 350...they were no worse than any bias Swamper I've rolled with. I'd say they perform like a MT with bias ply characteristics.

So good or bad? How loud are they?
Main thing for me is the cost. I need tires bad and I can get them really cheap.

What I was trying to say was if you don't mind the drivability characteristics of a bias tire, ie flat spotting, wandering, about a 35k tread expectancy, etc, they'll be alright. I don't think they were any louder than a standard MT. Personally, I don't mind it...and if the tires are cheap enough, I don't think I'd turn them down.
