I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed a higher frequency of military equipment being moved on the interstates. I live near I-40 and travel it Every day and usually see a big rig with 2-3 humvees a week. Today I went to Knoxville and back (live in waynesville) and saw 5 big rigs with humvees, 2 with deuce and a halfs? (If that's what they are still called) and 2 with some kind of artillery on them ( singe cannon took up almost full 48ft flat bed) all on the way there. On the way back I saw at least that many a big rigs with humvees before I lost track because traffic got bad and I went into the gorge. Even my gf who is oblivious to most things asked why there were so much military equipment being moved.

I've been noticing more coming thru Sanford headed to/from Bragg. Much of what I have seen looks like new equipment coming in. (maybe to replace what we are leaving behind in Iraq/Afghanistan)

I have seen a lot... didn't really think anything of it... Call me crazy :X

I am stationed at Bragg, the national guard and reserve guys have infiltrated the base to do their annual training. They brought a bunch of track vehicles with them.

Yep. Ton of Guard around here along with ROTC doing there training on post.

Yep, a bunch of our guys are at Bragg. Our FA guys keep their paladins and bradleys at MATES though.

Was talking to a feller a while back. Said he just got a government contract to carry hummers to North Dakota. Invasion of Canada?

Makes sense...... they got all that oil up there and they are under the tyrannical rule of the British Empire...... :D

positioning our defenses closer to the borders. After wall, we are reducing our reach out side of them.

I dont think the govt. is taking new orders for humvees. they have been putting out bids for a design to replace them.
