Saw this earlier...gonna try to convince the wife to let me have an early birthday.

because... having 2 makes you twice as portable as 1?
 
Ordered a 180, got an order confirmation for $427 shipped to my door, just waiting to see if it actually ships. Grainger took the 140 and 180 both completely off their site now, not just changing price back up...so not sure what's gonna happen.
 
Must have been a fawk up on there end with the pricing because the link is dead now.

Link isn't just dead, both the 140 and 180 by those part numbers are non existent on the site now. I have screen shots of the original price, I'm gonna fight for it if they don't ship it.
 
Saw this on my dinner break last night and figured it wouldn't last long. Even went back to work and logged onto Grainger with our vendor number and it was still 3x the price listed here. Its possible they just clearanced out the standard 140 and 180 because Miller replaced those with the 140 and 180 "AutoSet".

This was an "AutoSet" model according to the specifications on the one I ordered.
 
I'm on the phone with Grainger now and they're giving me some bs about the one I ordered being rejected because the item is not for sale in our state......

Still no call or email for me except the order confirmation I received last night. My order still shows up on my account info at Grainger. When did you place your order? Wondering when I'll get my call, I ordered last night about 11:45. :shaking:
 
I ordered mine around lunch time yesterday, and I'm still on the phone trying to figure out whats going on, basically they f'd up and I wouldn't expect for them to make good....
 
Sooooooooooooo, basically some one fawked up and priced it wrong and grainger is lying out of both sides of their mouth to cover their asses. I'm waiting on a phone call back to see what the deal is, but like I said I wouldn't expect them to make good on the deal. I would seriously call and check on your order cause they "cancelled" mine with no notice.
 
They canceled mine. Guy from local grainger store called, said he called and talked to miller and miller said they were sold out.

Can't blame them for not wanting to sell them at a loss. Seems like just saying "hey we screwed up" would be better than making up a bunch of stories.
 
Well still sore about the Grainger incident, but I did come home with this for $550 from TSC, Hobart 187

Also picked up a full "owner" bottle of 75/25 for $100 of CL.

Agreed, I wasn't planning on buying the consumables at TSC, but couldn't beat the price on the welder itself. I have to make a run to Airgas anyway I have about 15 Oxy/Actly/Nitrogen bottles I need swapped out.
