I had to dig back through some of our email exchanges...
He replaced the planetaries a few years ago and the front rollers at the same time. He didn't mention the rollers specifically though.
He also mentioned that he is the original owner of the machine and that he bought it new, so with that, I feel like he painted it solely based on the fact that it "looked" like it needed to be freshened up. Basically the same reason I was planning to paint and re-sticker whatever machine I wind up with. If I don't have to though, I'm cool with that
