Missionary buddy of mine in Haiti needs help

Yes I know a preacher. Don't pass out.

He is in Haiti and found this loose connector on his 2002 Land Cruiser. Anyone have a clue?

Can he get a pic of what is was connected to? Are you sure it's a 2002? I can't find a connector like that any were on alldata..
 
If it connects to the sensor in the pic it looks like its just a switch that probably activates a light (2WD/4WD-high/4WD-low) on the dash? Might be a neutral safety switch or reverse if its on the transmission...

Also that was the diff in the undercarriage pic.
 
I would take this to IH8MUD.com forum, they are much more likely to know!! Props to your buddy for his mission, my godparents have been there on missions for 30+ years now on and off. The lived in country for about 10 years in the 80s, and about 18 months right after the big quake a few years ago.
