My sister's 2002 Montero needs new wheel bearings. Anyone know how difficult it is to change these out on a Montero? The dealership is quoting her $650 plus tax.
I already found the bearings online for half the price the dealership quoted, but not sure how to go about the 3.7 hours of labor (estimate from Mitsubishi).
I'm somewhat new to NC- Any suggestions on a shop to do this besides the dealership? Can I do this in my driveway? I've done lifts, SYE's, armor, etc, but never wheel bearings (always had a friend to help out with gears and such).
She is Charlotte/North Charlotte area.
Thanks!
