My house is in the range of 2 cell towers. On one side of the house I can pick up LTE but only 1-2 bars. On the other side I pick up Edge(2G) speeds but 3-5 bars. At certain locations in my house I cannot pickup much of either, but most locations I can pickup the slower speeds. I also have wifi in the house but it is on DSL which isnt much fast than the slower mobile speeds.

I am looking for a device I could install that could potentially pickup and boost the LTE signal inside the house or atleast a small area inside. Prefer it to be inexpensive also, but Im open to anything if it works well.

Also, based on location, I cannot get faster DSL speeds or any other wired service.

I couldn't get any service at my house I got a AT&T my cell now I can get full service around the house but it is. 3G not sure if this is what u are looking for

I wouldnt mind reading that.

To clarify, in most of the house I can pickup the stronger 2G signal. I would like to install something that would let me broadcast the weaker 4G signal throughout the house if possible.

We have no cell coverage at home.
There are "network extenders" avalable from all the carriers.
They work off your home broadband. So they will not be fastre than your DSL connection.

I have one from Verizon. It sucks.

I'm between two towers and can get calls but not enough signal to talk or hear them. Verizon network extender works awesome for us. When you install it, you'll have to call phone carrier to let them know. Phone has to be updated or something. On a plus, while connected to extender, you won't be using the phone companies data or talk minutes.

I think the only option you have is the booster from your mobile company, but like said, it runs off a broadband or DSL connection. Works great for calls but not so much for data transfer. If its an option I'd drop the DSL and get an entry level cable internet (if its available to you). Usually just as cheap and works better. Just my .02.... Good luck

They'll send you one ben, but like was said, it will run of the wifi.
There are some repeaters made that may help.

Really just need them to upgrade that tower to LTE and I'd be good

Thinking outside the box here... we used external antennas with our air cards. Something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Novatel-Veriz...d=1403182659&sr=8-25&keywords=verizon+antenna

Stuck to the top of the truck or on the roof of the trailer, they made a big difference in reception, and plugged right into the side of the air card. I'm wondering if you could pair a good high-gain antenna with a wireless hotspot and ditch DSL entirely. Then your phones could ride on the air card (or a "signal booster" running off the air card's data signal) to get connected.

<shrug>

That'd probably work

Im usually pretty good with these things but having trouble wrapping ym head round what you are saying.

If I ant better cell service t my house. I place this on the roof and it grbas the cell radio waves (got it) then it sends those waves to....(lost here)

An air card. Which then shares the connection over WiFi.

They have little freestanding access points now that don't have to be plugged into a computer. They just need 5 volts.

Oh..not what Im looking for.
Im looking for an aeril to boost indoor cell signal.

Sorry carry on

Bumping this back up. I'm in need of a cell signal booster in my house. I can only make calls in one room of house. But if I walk outside all is good. I don't have Internet or cable tv. Is there a signal booster that doesn't use Internet connection?

My dad once had a repeater type thing for this problem that literally was a repeater - it connected to an antenna on the roof and re-broadcast it in the house. Basically the idea being that the giant antenna could pick up signals that the little one in your phone could not. They live out on Lake Gaston in between towers. He worked for Sony Ericson mobile and they didn't like him not having access, so I'm guessing it was AT&T. I know it wasn't verizon b/c our phones never work there.
