Modern Mowers....

A zero turn is too wide for a lot of my yard and a tractor requires a lot of random paths to turn, but with 1.5 acres I want to ride something. I’m looking at a 36” toro hydrostatic 15 horse Kawi walk behind with sulky it’s expensive compared to a cheap zero, but at 125 a month for 4 years it’s cheaper than a yard guy and should last my lifetime, and a zero turn with non serviceable wheel motors is a timebomb. I’m basically paying for a nicer zero but getting a walk behind that’s more compact…

I plan to walk behind initially and get a silky later (Tori ones are $675, eBay specials $250)

Toro has $750 off their pro series and 3.9% for 4 years till February
I just sold my ferris ztr just for that reason. Even with 3 zero turns at one time I prefer my walk behinds. I bought a used 2 wheel sulkie for 100ish. I wouldnt pay retail

Right. There's a local guy who sells used stuff and it's in good shape and very affordable. Also when I buy from a local dealer its no interest for the loan every time. I know they throw in the finance charge but 0% sounds great! Heres the local guy who sells stuff Log into Facebook

Anyone own a bad boy? There’s a dealer in taylorsville, the raider has hydrogear 3200’s on a 36 inch (toro uses 2800s on the same size) and a 16.5 horse kawisucky. Look to be 1-2k cheaper than name brand commercial units of similar spec

If they have a demo unit you can try it. My grandpa has a 72" and even new it was sluggish to turn, just never very responsive and isn't laid out as nice as his Scag or JD's. Maybe they improved on the newer models.
