What's a sure fire way to kill moles in a nice yard? I'm a certified pesticide applicator but can't legally kill hem due to gov't regulations. So the usual avenues I peruse for info are dead ends.

What we use to do is put peanut butter or somethign of the like on a mouse trap and set it near thier hole. Put a 5 gallon bucket upside down over the top of the trap and hole to make it dark. Give it a couple of days and check. We always caught and killed them this way.

I hate Moles... My neighbor said to put down Grub worm killer and they moles will go away. I don't know if this was true, but was going to try it. Anyone heard of Voles also? Apparently I have those f**king up my yard too.

My parents have moles in their yard recently, also. This is what they told me they tried also. I guess the moles feed on grub worms is what my dad said..IIRC.

i've had them off and on since we built the house 11 years ago. Diazinon worked to kill the grubs or whatever they were eating, and they were gone for 2-3 years after that. I don't think you can buy that anymore, though. x2 on the traps from northern. Also works when you see a good network of tunnels, stick the garden hose in, and let it run a while, drown 'em out.

Or so I heard. ;)

I use a mole trap, its spring loaded and you stick in the ground over where the mole travels, then when it comes through and hit the trigger mech. it stabs these spikes down really quick. I have used it for years and it always gets them.

We had the Voles when we moved in. Neighbors had some sort of sonic stakes all over to get rid of them but they didn't work. You couldn't walk through the yard without worrying about turning your ankle.
We kept our cats inside for a month to acclimate them to the new place. Installed cat doors, they went out, and the Vole massacre began. By the end of that summer, no more Voles.
Get a cat.
