As many of you know we just had our first NC4X4 work day and it went over great. You probably also know that the Forest Service is setting up monthly work days on the 3rd Saturday of every month. Now these work days will be more general maintenance like trash clean up etc, but there will also be some guard rail repair etc. I know with a lot of people you have to work out money and time to get out to Uwharrie. And there will also be the NC4X4 Trail Clean Up days that Chris will be organizing with the Forest Service. So in my mind I figured every other month would work good. But I figured lets put it to a vote.

On a side note thought I have messaged Terry about the possibility of heavier work days because there is still a lot of guard rail to put up, and other Bobcat/machine work to be done. If there would be people interested we may be able to schedule another such work day (like the one we just had). That is also if we can get a Bobcat together etc also.

So what does everyone think about the monthly work days, and the possible single heavy work day?
 
Bi-monthly is better in my opinion. Monthly would be too often and would have a hard time getting people to show up. We could roll the rest of the state OHV trails into this as well. For example, the TJC crowd could handle Brown Mountain. This could replace the NC Trail Cleanup days as well.

So far it looks like most are leaning toward Bi-Monthly, which does make a lot of sense. Depending on when the trail re-routes happen we may have other trail work day opportunities also. Its all stuff I have to talk to Terry about.
 
i say monthly. but i can understand why bi monthly could be better.....best way to figure out is to schedule a few and see what kind of commitment we can get then decide bi monthly or monthly
