Moore of Delhomme?

The wife came down to the basement and made quit cussing the TV. It was bad, really bad. If Carolina wanted to have Moore as the starter, they should have never drafted Clauson. Having Clauson on the bench will have Moore thinking its just a matter of time before I am back up again, He was OK last year when he was the back up stepping in, But he just doesn't carry him self like a starting QB.

Hell Clauson is a rook and he walks on the field and looks like he belongs there. Which the team will react to. He is still young and I don't think he would be a "quick" fix by any means, but its hard to do any worst.

Matt Moore does not look like an NFL QB in the pocket. Jimmy looked better the few snaps he took. Coach Fox will make us suffer through weeks of this until he makes the switch. Prepare yourself...

I wanna know whats going on in the NFL...where a guy has one good season and then he becomes gold...Matt Moore, Matt Cassell, Miles Austin, Chris Johnson, etc etc. It's not like it's a big secret, somebody doesn't play alot, then gets thrusted into a starting position, the other team doesn't have film, doesn't know his tendancies, and overall...doesn't know how to the play the guy. So he gets lucky and has a good year, then gets signed to a massive contract and sucks again because the other teams figured him out. I'm seeing way more of these one and done guys getting signed to outrageous contracts or kept in a starting role and I dunno why. Is it because the team is worried they'll miss out on a diamond in the rough? I wanna know what happened to proving yourself in the NFL...and once you were consistent, then you got big money and started to gain that star status.

After Sundays loss, the Panthers will start Clauson against the Bengels, Which could be the toughest defense they have faced yet. He didn't look bad in the few mins he played Sunday when they benched Moore, Something had to be done, Moore just didn't have it. I am not saying Clauson is going the be the answer, Its going to take time, but might as well start now.

Im surprised Fox stepped up and pulled Moore so soon, I expected him to wait til atleast game 4. Not a panthers fan, but hated to watch Moore, looked downright helpless on sunday from what I saw in the short version on ESPN today. Clausen looks good, seems up to the job, but only time will tell.

And to think they had shots at both Vick & "Friar" Tebow... either has more athleticism than any 3 Panther QBs (including that sloser Collins)

I think that the Panthers have more trouble that just QB play. I would have to think that it goes quite a bit higher than that. Delhomme isn't struggling with his new team. Might be time to look at the next level up.

Yeah he is. His passer rating was 59.2, and he threw two INT's in his first go. He got hurt and didn't play in week 2. Sorry but for my money a 59.2 rating isn't even close for someone who should be a starting QB.

You Panthers fans are some worrysome people. Its freaking week 2. 14 more to go...let it rest. If Fox is doing his job then things will turn out alright. People have jumped all over Collins, Beurlein, Moore, Delhomme hell damn near every QB the team has had has never been good enough. Look at Pittsburgh, one of the toughest, most critical football towns in the league and they aren't crushing Dixon, Batch or Leftwich. They've ridden the leg of their kicker, Jeff Reed, all season and won two games. Get Kasay in range and that old fawker will do the same for Carolina. It takes more than a QB just to get that done.

Grew up in PA and am a Steelers fan, for the moment we are doing just that, riding it out hoping things get better. Dixon isn't the best passer, but damn is he fast and that has been a great asset, but since he looks to be out for a while we gotta make due, waiting on wednesday to see how Leftwich's knee has healed, hoping for the best, but also fairly confident that if the pressure is really there, Batch can hold his own. Ben will be back after 2 games, and I am really just hoping he can handle the pressure and play as well as we all know he is capable.

As for the riding... for now we are winning, trust me the steelers have alot of fans who lose complete faith after the first loss, 2 in a row and they go berzerk. I know alot of steelers fans (mostly family) who have been discussing the QB problems we are having, and the consensus for now is just hoping and praying for no more QB injuries, and hoping a strong return from Ben.

Dixion is out for 2 - 3 weeks.

The issue is that Moore thinks he needs to be the hero and win the game for them, Its the turn overs that kill them. That was the same issue last year with Jake. They need a QB that can manage the game. They need it more now than ever with the team being as young as it is.

Yeah I read last night the steelers hadn't released anything but a "inside source" said 3-5 weeks.

Someone already said it, but Moore is under pressure, and having Fox start Clausen now isn't going to help, as soon as they brought Clausen on Moore realized that he was replacable, and not the "hero" he was last season. He started pushing himself to play better, and making alot of mistakes. Now Clausen is under all the pressure, so we will see on Sunday how it works out for him.
