Just was hoping to get some feed back on the mooresville area in general. im originally from carson city nv i was into wheeling in high school but i got out because i am currently finishing up my contract after one tour in afghanistan with the united states army as a 11b at fort drum NY. Now that im finishing up with the army im taking advantage of the gi bill and decided to pursue my dream to go to a tech school. im going to be attending NTI starting Jan. was wondering if anyone goes to school there or has gone there, or what i have to look forward to. also any advice on just the general 4 wheeling scene and some good ways to get involed as soon as i move. also have been keeping my eyes open for a SAS yota or zuki.

Do IT! A great area to be, and you'd be in a decently central area for the wheeling grounds around.

Welcome to NC. You picked a good area. If you have any desire to continue your military career, let me know. You cant go wrong with a Yota!!

Lake Norman
Lots of Car shows
4x4 Cross is always at the mooresville dragway

There is a ton to do out there.

Yea def dude Mooresville is my Backyard, when its warm we are at the Dragway all the time, and I put on 2 to 3 off-road events a weekend most of them within an hour and a half drive max of Mooresville.

Course its all about to Slow down since its the off-season, there will be some hit and miss stuff until it kicks up full till again round March next year.

NTI folks frequent our stuff, plus yea there is the lake, and you're not a stones throw from Charlotte if you like the "downtown" type scene, right in Mooresville there is plenty to do thou depending on what all you like to do.

Mooresville ok if you don't mind dealing with god awful traffic. I would recommend one of the other towns in the area like Davidson or even Concord over Mooresville.

i lived there a few yrs ago.. it was packed then.. and is only getting worse.. when NTI lets out.. 150 slows to a crawl.... other than that. cool place, lots of stuff to do if you have the $$

Mooresville is a nice town, just all the 9,000 people suck. Way way too much traffic and no one knows how to drive. So if you can get a little ways out side the town you would be fine. But welcome in advance to NC.

everyone lives in what seems to be a one mile circle... go a mile and a half in any direction and your in BFE. It really is a nice place... just when NTI lets out you dont need to be anywhere on the road...

Mooresville's city planning is awful! There are plenty of other towns within minutes of there that have just as much to offer without the traffic. I worked there for 14 years will never miss it! Don't get me wrong, there's a lot there, but it's all at Exit 36. For that matter, I'd stay away from anything between their and Charlotte on I-77.

Cost of housing is going to be cheaper east or west of there also. Lincoln County is nice & I'm kind of partial to Catawba Co.

Other than Mooresville traffic, NC is great!
