Sounds legit.
 
It was making a nest in a birdhouse, so I trapped it inside and sprayed the fawk out of it with hornet spray. Pinned it to cardboard, bio class style, to show @shawn when he got home. I kid you not, emeffer started moving when he went to look at it. It had been "dead" for at least three hours.
 
I got stung in the head once by one of them fawkers when I was a kid. I was hiking in a creek beside grand dad's farm. Got out of the woods and could barely walk straight. I fell down on a fire ant mound. It was a rough day.

got stung on the forehead by a jap hornet one time.
cutting metal on a chopsaw and it felt like someone hit me with a sledgehamer.
swelled my eyes almost shut in about an hour.
ever look at the stinger on one of them thangs? deadly.

Got stung in the bend of my arm by one of them bitches. It hit me right on a vein. The vein turned black from my elbow to my wrist. The entry where I was stung looked like the aftermath of a large needle. Hurt like a mofo.
 
Got me in the palm of the hand, when I scraped it off (my wild slapping at it as I instinctly ran away thinking more were coming) did not remove it as it had all its claws dug into me and was stuck firmly to to my hand) the stinger ripped out of it's ass and continued to pump venom into my hand until I finally removed it. In minutes my hand looked like a clown glove and my fingers were so swollen they were shiny and looked like sausages. The spot where the stinger was just rotted into a dime sized hole 1/2" deep over weeks and took 6 months or more to heal. I've said it here before, I would rather dance naked on a yellow jacket nest than be stung by another of those MF yellow hornets if i had a choice.

Come on, you are just hoping one of those yellow jackets stings your pecker so it will swell up like your finger :D
 
.....seriously 50 yellow jacket stings all over would feel better than the long lasting pain and suffering of a bad hornets sting.
 
Japanese Hornet nailed me in the chest (shorts & nothing else, summer kid in the country) when I was 3.....laid me out.

Dad picked me up & carried me to the house...went back out & shot everyone one of those flying fuckers as they flew out of the tree nest w/ his shotgun.

Nobody fucked with his little buddy!!
