For real. I don’t need to try and explain to my 5 year old why Sally Squirrel on Pete the Cat has two dads.
True. PBS is eat up with it.

The only thing I know of that isnt is Cocomelon. It seems to espouse real family values without the woke mess.

That's one of the reasons why 'electronics time' in my house is only if it's educational. I use 'educational' loosely, but it's pretty much Cocomelon, Blippi or NatGeo/Discovery (and the ipad is ABC Mouse type apps). But when we do venture outside of that for more 'cartoon-y' type stuff, Bluey is where it's at. I find that show hysterical and rather smack-you-between-the-eyes.

I was surprised to find out Bluey was a girl

This. Every time I see a post on the neighborhood mail list that somebody saw a dog walking down the road “lost”, picked it up, drove across town, put it in a cage, and is now letting everybody know what a good deed they’ve done and wants to know if anybody is missing their dog. Dog’s just walking along thinking what a nice day it is and all of a sudden is dognapped like “What? What’d I do?”

Glad I live out in the country and have some room for my dog to roam. He's not been in a pen in 10yrs. I had someone call me and say they found my dog a few months ago. I ask them where they were at and they were on the next road over maybe 1/2 a mile. I told them if he wasn't bothering them to just let him go, he'd make his way back home. He walks to the pond across the field and their house is a few hundred yards on the other side.

I'll be that guy...I love dogs, but keep them on your own property. I don't know your dog, my kid doesn't know your dog...I don't know what kind of stress this wandering dog has/is enduring and what mental state it's in, so what kind of interaction am I going to have, even if I don't engage? If I'm driving through the country, I don't know if your dog is going to want to dart across the street to chase the bird or squirrel...are you going to be pissed that your dog was hit by a car and who is gonna pay for my body damage? There are only a few scenarios that can come from a wandering animal, and most aren't favorable.

Maybe I should clarify, he was at the pond. They called him over because he was "lost". Also, you live in suburbia, I don't. My dog can walk away until I don't see him, and he's still on my property. Funny thing is that fixed free roam dogs, don't go anywhere. Inside or penned dogs that are let loose roam.
